Bengals Ripped in NFLPA Survey; Treatment of Family Members ‘Almost Disrespectful’

Concerns Raised Over Bengals’ Support for Players’ Families

In a recent NFL Players Association (NFLPA) report, the Cincinnati Bengals have once again found themselves at the bottom of the rankings when it comes to how they support players’ families. This unfortunate trend continues for the second year in a row, as the Bengals have been designated the least accommodating team in the league in this important area.

The NFLPA highlighted that the Bengals are the only team in the entire league that does not offer daycare services or a designated family room during home games. This glaring omission has drawn criticism from players, with one athlete describing the team’s approach as “nearly disrespectful” towards their families.

In terms of grades, the Bengals received a troubling F- for their family accommodations, with a disheartening average rating of 4.69 out of 10 for their postgame family area. Additionally, reports indicate that the franchise “rarely” organizes family-centric events, further underscoring their inadequacies in this regard.

This isn’t the first time the Bengals have faced backlash related to family support. Last season, players voiced their concerns regarding the need for improved facilities, including a warmer and more welcoming space for family members and childcare services on game days. Despite these issues being raised previously, the team has not made any significant strides toward improvement.

On a more positive note, the Bengals did experience a slight upward shift in the NFLPA’s survey rankings, moving from 26th to 24th place overall. The franchise received favorable evaluations in various categories such as coaching, team travel, and training staff. However, they continue to fall short in providing satisfactory food options and addressing the needs of players’ families.

Clearly, the Bengals have a long way to go in ensuring that both players and their families feel appreciated and supported. It is hoped that these findings will prompt the organization to take meaningful steps toward enhancing the experience for players and their loved ones in the upcoming seasons.
