Conor McGregor has landed himself in a bit of trouble after sending a disrespectful message to journalist Paul Healy on social media. Healy, who covers crime, took to Twitter to reveal that McGregor’s post was quickly deleted following its publication.
In his tweet, Healy disclosed that McGregor’s spokesperson had reached out to him professionally, but Healy later woke up to find a derogatory message from McGregor calling him “smelly.” Fortunately for Healy, he was able to take a screenshot of the offensive message before it vanished, and he even challenged McGregor to discuss the matter in a face-to-face interview.
The screenshot captured McGregor labeling Healy as “smelly” and a “little pr**k,” prompting the journalist to publicly confront the fighter. This incident comes amid McGregor’s ongoing legal troubles, including a civil lawsuit related to allegations from 2018. Although he hasn’t fought since July 2021 due to injury, McGregor has been hinting at a potential comeback to the UFC, possibly against Michael Chandler.
Chandler, who recently faced a defeat against Charles Oliveira, has shown interest in stepping into the Octagon with McGregor. The former champion appeared receptive to the idea, teasing a future clash with Chandler. Their exchanges on social media have only intensified speculation about a possible showdown between the two fighters in the years to come.
